The Act

It was a luxury to be able to photograph this actor (Matthew Baldwin) in the actual setting for the play - that doesn't happen often! There is a lovely passage in 'The Act' where the protagonist describes his walk from the Houses of Parliament to Soho. As someone who has lived in London for a number of years, I always like it when plays and books specify a location for a particular moment or scene (I walked round the corner of Whitehall Place, for example), because I feel a little secret pride in being able to picture the exact place. So I based the poster design (right), on that passage in the play, and I hope it will make people excited about seeing a rather nostalgic play which is set in 1960s London.
