Resourceful director Joao de Sousa found this fantastic derelict warehouse to use as a location for press shots for his new Edinburgh Fringe play, The Curing Room. It's an absolutely massive place with so many great spaces from huge halls to tiny stairwells. Surprisingly it's mostly unusued, according to the owner, apart from as a home to many of East London's pigeons.
It made a real change from shooting in a studio - the natural light streaming in through broken windows was beautiful, and although the actors had to contend with inches of pigeon droppings and rotting floorboards, the surroundings definitely helped everyone feel the part!
