Twelfth Night

Another one for Iris theatre! For Twelfth Night, I was asked to design a poster which mixed the beauty of a garden on a summer's evening with something a bit cheeky or out of place. My first idea was to create Sir Toby in box topiary, as one of the funniest scenes in the play involves Toby and several others hiding behind bushes and plants to spy on Malvolio. My next idea was to have a ship crashing into a garden, looking really out of place, disturbing the peace of the garden. This was the design that made it through, so look out for it in Covent Garden this summer, alongside Pinocchio!
