Polka are a children's theatre, who aim to put the child at the heart of their productions. Polka were keen to feature children on the posters, without implying that the actors would be children (the actors are all adults). The idea behind this set of designs was to show children interacting with the story, rather than just as passive audience members. We also wanted to show the role of imagination, which led me to mix photography with illustration.
